Estimated audible sessions on Voltura Music. Stopped, muted and buffering playback are excluded.

Updates about once a minute. Tabs count separately; background suspension may affect the count.

Your radio guide

Tune in, adjust your sound, and make the radio yours. Playback continues while you read.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • + (or =) / − — raise / lower volume by 5%.
  • ← / → — previous / next enabled station.
  • P — power on / off. R — reload the page and refresh stations.
  • M — mute / unmute. E — show / hide EQ. C — show / hide channels.
  • H — open / close Help. T — switch light / dark mode.
  • G — remove / replace the speaker grille.
  • A — open Add Channel.
  • O — open / close Options. S — sleep timer. B — compact view.
  • / — search channels. F — add or remove the current station from favorites. 1–9 — tune favorites.
  • Q — cycle EQ presets. In Options: X — export backup, I — import backup.
  • V — change visualization. Enter / Space — toggle fullscreen. Esc — close a dialog or EQ, or exit fullscreen.

Hold volume or station keys to repeat. Shortcuts work in fullscreen; Help, Channels, and Add return to the radio. Text fields and focused controls keep their normal keys. In dialogs, use the shortcuts listed above for Help and Options. Visualization and fullscreen shortcuts pause while EQ is open.

Radio display

  • Click or tap once, or use the visualization icon, to cycle through Frequency bars, Oscilloscope, Mirrored spectrum, Waterfall, and Off. Off hides the visualization without stopping audio.
  • Double click or tap to enter or leave fullscreen, or use the fullscreen icon. If fullscreen is unavailable, the display fills the browser window.
  • Swipe left or right to change stations. Hold and drag to preview without interrupting playback; release to tune. Return to the original station before releasing to cancel.
  • Hold at either edge while dragging to keep browsing. Move away or release to stop. These gestures also work in fullscreen.

Playback and tuning

Press POWER to start or stop live radio. Changing station or adjusting volume also turns it on.

Turn or drag TUNING, tap it for the next enabled station, or use its arrows. With the knob focused, use arrow keys, Home, or End. Supported headset and device media controls also switch stations.

Voice control

Tap VOICE and allow microphone access. Say an English command beginning with “Radio,” then pause briefly:

  • “Radio next” or “Radio skip” / “Radio previous” — change station and restore sound.
  • “Radio mute” or “Radio pause” — silence the station while the stream keeps running.
  • “Radio play”, “Radio start”, or “Radio unmute” — restore sound or start playback.
  • “Radio stop” or “Radio off” — stop playback. Voice stays on so you can start it again.

Tap VOICE again or the display’s microphone icon to stop listening. Voice starts off and pauses when you leave Music; tap VOICE to resume. Keep the app visible and your screen unlocked.

The status shows words heard and guidance after 15 seconds of silence. If recognition struggles, lower the speaker volume or try headphones.

Your browser handles recognition and may use a speech service. Music does not save microphone audio or transcripts. Support varies; on iPhone, use Safari or the Home Screen app.

Volume and mute

Turn or drag the VOLUME knob, or use its arrows for 5% steps. With the knob focused, arrow keys, Home, and End also work. Both knobs support vertical dragging from their centre.

MUTE toggles sound without changing volume or stopping the stream and visualizations. Your device’s volume is separate.

Control sounds in Options adds clicks and ticks at a fixed level, even when the station is muted. They start off.

Equalizer

Press EQ to adjust five bands from bass (100 Hz) to treble (10 kHz), each from −12 to +12 dB. Drag a slider vertically, or focus it and use arrow keys, Home, or End.

Choose FLAT, BASS, VOICE, or LOUDNESS for a starting point. LOUDNESS boosts bass and treble. RESET returns all bands to 0 dB.

Close with EQ, E, or Esc. Settings apply to every station and are saved. Editing EQ does not start playback; display gestures and visualization switching pause while it is open.

Channels

  • Press CHANNELS to show or hide station cards. Select a card to tune, or use Visit broadcaster to open its website.
  • Share: tap the icon beside the display heart or on a channel card. Use your device’s share menu, or Copy link and Email. Shared links select a station without autoplay. Built-in channels only.
  • Search by name, broadcaster, or country, and narrow by genre and country. Genre pills show each channel’s tags. Clear resets all filters; clear them before reordering. Filters do not change tuning order.
  • A card’s switch enables or disables tuning to it. At least one must stay enabled. Disabling the playing station tunes the next enabled one.
  • Hold and drag a card’s grip to reorder without stopping playback. On desktop, hold the card itself, or focus its grip and use arrow keys, Home, or End.
  • Add saves a direct HTTPS MP3 or AAC stream that allows playback from other websites. Player-page links will not work. Choose any number of genre tags, or none; country is optional.
  • The pen edits channels: all fields for your own, names only for built-in channels. The bin removes your channels; Undo restores them.

Speaker, theme, and saved settings

Tap the speaker grille to reveal the speaker moving with the music; tap again to cover it.

The DARK switch changes between light and dark themes. Music follows your device theme until you choose one.

Settings, channels, favorites, recent history, and power state are saved in this browser. Mute resets on reload; Channels and EQ start closed.

Display information and recovery

The display shows the station, connection status, position, and volume. Song details and audio sample rate appear when available.

Tap N LISTENING in the header for the current count and a short explanation. The estimate updates about once a minute; a dash means unavailable.

The count uses a random ID kept in memory, sent with playback activity, and expired after two minutes without an update; expired IDs are deleted on the next request. This feature saves no analytics cookies, persistent IDs, IP addresses, countries, station choices, or listening history. Hosting providers process requests under their own policies.

If playback gets stuck or shows Audio paused, press RETRY. It reconnects the station while keeping your volume, mute, EQ, and sleep timer.

While power is on, Music resumes interrupted audio, retries failures up to three times, and waits while offline. POWER stops playback and recovery.

RELOAD refreshes the page and channels, keeping saved settings. Music tries to resume if power was on; your browser may require a tap or key press.

Make it yours

  • Favorites: tap a heart to add or remove a favorite. Enabled favorites appear below the radio; tune with a tap or 1–9.
  • Recently played: Channels shows the last five played stations, newest first, excluding the current, disabled, and removed stations. History stays in this browser; filters hide the shortcuts.
  • Channel names: use the pen to rename a card. For built-in channels, Reset restores its original name; Save applies it. Other details are read-only.
  • Options: Compact view hides the speaker for a smaller radio. Toggle Control sounds for clicks and ticks, or Show tooltips for control hints.
  • Sleep: choose 15, 30, or 60 minutes in Options. Tap the countdown to cancel. If Music is suspended, an expired timer stops playback on resume.
  • Backup: export settings and custom channels from Options. Import previews the backup before replacing settings and leaves playback stopped.

Install

Use your browser’s install command to add Voltura Music to your home screen or desktop. Live radio needs an internet connection.

Add channel

Add a direct HTTPS live audio stream. Your channel is saved in this browser.

Use an MP3 or AAC stream that allows playback from other websites, rather than a link to a player page.
